Skypark, Ireland’s premier Adventure Park, is excited to celebrate its 10th anniversary this month. Officially opened in the summer of 2014 by then-Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Skypark has become a beloved destination for adventure enthusiasts across the country.  Despite facing significant challenges, including BREXIT and the COVID-19 pandemic, Skypark has thrived over the past decade, offering visitors an unforgettable experience with its wide range of outdoor activities.

In 2021 Skypark opened the Ireland’s Ancient East maze, designed by internationally renowned maze designer Adrian Fisher and the biggest wooden maze on Ireland’s east coast.  The maze was a great addition to Skyparks offering and is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Just this month Skypark launched its newest activity, Skynet Giant Adventure, following a €500,000 investment. This amazing experience allows visitors to bounce on expansive nets, climb through captivating treehouses, navigate challenging climbing tubes, and slide down thrilling netted slides. Skynet complements Skypark’s existing attractions, including the largest aerial adventure course in Ireland, Ireland’s Ancient East Maze, Frisbee Disc Golf, Aeroball, FootGolf, and much more.
To mark this 10-year milestone, Skypark is hosting a special anniversary event on Saturday, June 29th, from 10am to 6pm with all the Skypark activities open.  The event will feature a live broadcast by LMFM and promises fun for all ages with special appearances by friendly local alpacas, face painting, arts and crafts, hot food and live music. It’s a perfect opportunity for families and adventure seekers to explore all that Skypark has to offer.

“We are thrilled to celebrate a decade of adventure and fun with our community,” said Thomas McArdle, CEO at Skypark. “We look forward to welcoming everyone to our anniversary event and showcasing our exciting new activities, including the Skynet Giant adventure.”
