Dundalk’s business network and business voice consist of 250 members representing all business sectors in the town. Dundalk Chamber plays a pivotal role in the ongoing promotion and development of the region as the best place to work, live, stay, and play!
Dundalk Chamber works to raise the region’s profile in the minds of visitors and investors by promoting our manufacturing and service industries as well as tourism, retail, commercial and lifestyle offerings. We promote the importance of supporting employment by shopping locally – our Shop Local Gift Voucher has kept over €8 million in our local economy since 2015.
We provide a supportive environment in which to do business and create stronger relationships within the local business community and foster collaboration between businesses, agencies, groups and educational providers.
We listen to businesses and lobby issues on their behalf. We promote the importance of Dundalk’s location on the M1 Corridor and local, national and international level. The Dundalk Chamber is here to create, support, maintain and promote a positive environment for business in Dundalk and the region, by encouraging a strong, unified business community.
Our aim is to promote business within Dundalk, the Region and nationally while continuing to add value to our members.

The Role
The CEO will be responsible for delivering on the strategic vision of the Dundalk Chamber and developing it to be a leading advocate and support for business in the region.
The CEO will report to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for four direct reports, including full-time and part-time staff.
The CEO’s principal responsibilities will include:
- developing and executing the strategic vision of the Dundalk Chamber,
- managing Dundalk Chamber’s operations,
- acting as the primary spokesperson,
- advocating for the Chamber Member’s interests,
- optimising funding,
- expanding membership services,
- supervising key projects and initiatives.
The key capabilities required for this role are:
- a minimum degree level qualification,
- management experience including, finance, HR, sales, marketing PR, IT, facilities, regulatory and compliance
- strong people and change management experience,
- excellent communication and presentation skills,
- proven track record in networking and building strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
Previous experience of working for a representative body, good knowledge of key challenges facing business and an appreciation of the use of technology to optimise efficiency would be advantageous.
The CEO should be highly motivated and energetic, organised, decisive, flexible in terms of working hours and travel, and have excellent relationship-building skills.
Salary will be in line with that of CEO’s of similar sized not for profit organisations operating in Ireland
