Are you passionate about supporting young people as they take their first steps toward their future careers?
Are you willing to volunteer two hours of your time?
Dundalk Chamber’s School Mentorship Programme is looking for volunteer school mentors to help facilitate our upcoming Mock Interviews with multiple local secondary schools in Dundalk. The interviews are scheduled for a variety of dates across April and May.
This impactful initiative gives Transition Year (TY) students a valuable opportunity to experience real-world job interviews in a supportive and professional setting. Students will meet with local business professionals and complete one-on-one interviews based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, and personal aspirations.
As a mentor, you will meet with 8-10 students throughout the day, providing them with constructive feedback and guidance, at the end of the session, mentors will also have the opportunity to choose which candidate they would ‘award the job’ to—fostering healthy competition and boosting students’ confidence.
By volunteering just a few hours of your time, you can help equip students with the essential communication and interpersonal skills they need for their future careers. Plus, it’s a rewarding way to give back to the local community and help shape Dundalk’s future workforce.
We’d love to have you on board!
