One of the biggest concerns customers are currently facing is fraud. Financial institutions have a clear role to play in preventing fraud, a commitment which Bank of Ireland take very seriously through a range of measures to detect, prevent, and manage fraud cases. Recently, they announced an investment of €50 million on customer fraud prevention and protection. The investment includes €15million on new fraud prevention technology, along with consumer awareness campaigns and support for customers who are targeted by fraudsters.
With that in mind, Bank of Ireland are hosting a series of fraud awareness events across the country, with the event in the Bank of Ireland Dundalk, taking place on Wednesday the 1st May 2024 at 8:30am.
This event is for both Branch customers and the wider community, and their aim is to help make everyone more aware of the various types of fraud, what to look out for, and what to do if you become a victim of fraud. The event will include a presentation from a member of the Bank of Ireland fraud team, along with a contribution from An Garda Siochana.
