The Dundalk Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic is one of the most well established and popular golf classics in the North East region and this year’s Annual Golf Classic was held on Friday 27th August in the Dundalk Golf Club, Blackrock.
43 teams took part in the event and for many it was the perfect opportunity to renew old acquaintance, meet new people and establish new friendships.
The Dundalk Golf course was in great condition and is unquestionably one of Ireland’s finest parkland layouts. Team members were treated to a very tasty bar-b-que at the 9th hole and an enjoyable meal and social evening was had by all later in the Club House with the presentation of prizes and a raffle.
1st prize was won by McCaughey Developments, 2nd price went to Nobby Quinn and his team and 3rd prize was won by Boyle Sports. Winners for 4th prize was Recruitment Plus and 5th prize winners were O Callaghan Insurance.
Excellent prizes of Waterford Crystal worth over €1,700 were presented to 1st, 2nd & 3rd winning teams.

There was a fantastic raffle with great prizes and a Gallon of whiskey donated by Cooley Distillery was auctioned on the night. Raffle prizes were donated by The Crowne Plaza and Servisource Recruitment. Meanwhile refreshments were donated by Total Produce and Value Centre Cash & Carry. Umbrellas were donated by Vhi Healthcare and EBS Building Society.
