Dundalk Santa Fun Run took place last Friday with two runs taking place on the one day! The first event was a Santa Conga Line carried out by personnel from the 27th Battalion in Aiken Barracks at 9am on the Friday morning. They danced a conga line around the town for a total of 10Km much to the delight of early morning shoppers.
Despite the torrential rain they all carried this out in good spirits even thought they were wet to the skin! A choir from CBS Primary School Dundalk sang some beautiful Christmas Carols. Refreshments were provided by Riva Brasserie and the Home Bakery.
Later that evening over 1200 Santa’s took to the Streets for a Fun Run. Although it did not break record numbers as in previous attempts there was a real feel good factor and helped to kick start the festive season in Dundalk this year.
