Dundalk Santa Run 2015 will this year attempt to set two World Records on the same day, Friday 27th November. The first record attempt will take place at 9am in the morning with twenty personnel from Aiken Barracks dancing a Conga Line for 10 kilometres through the streets of Dundalk. This will be followed later that evening with the main Charity Santa Fun Run starting at 7pm were the organisers hope that the participants can break the record set in 2013 of 4,961 Santas.
The route for the main Charity Santa Fun Run will be the same as last year starting at Tesco Extra and finishing at the Post Office on Clanbrassil Street near Dundalk On Ice.
Dundalk Santa Run is a fantastic initiative to support local charities and for families to have great fun at the same time.
When the run is completed participants can move unto the Market Square for the newly named Dundalk’s Christmas ‘Frostival’ 2015 which will include live music, street performers, market stalls, children’s rides and much more. Dundalk Charity Santa Fun Run, Dundalk Christmas Frostival along with Dundalk On Ice are going to create a fun filled festive night. So don’t miss out, make sure you come to Dundalk on the 27th of November for the ultimate Christmas experience.
Also the following day all participating Santa’s have been invited by the Blackrock Tidy Towns committee to head to Blackrock to get their photograph taken on the beach at 10am. This will be another great opportunity to commemorate the event.
