While these works are underway, customers in the following areas may experience low pressure and/or water outages today, Friday 23nd June: Philipstown, Tinure, Whiteriver, Lismanus, Priestown and surrounding areas in Co. Louth. Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as water refills the network.
Speaking about the maintenance works, Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, Michael Cunniffe said: “These maintenance works are necessary to continue to provide a safe supply to Collon and its environs. Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when maintenance works are carried out and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works.”
“We would ask customers to continue their water conservation efforts by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and to postpone using dishwashers and washing machines where possible. Further information on water conservation is available on our website at www.water/conserve.”
