Fuel Laundering

Dundalk Chamber of Commerce note the new scheme proposed by the Government in relation to fuel laundering. This scheme will introduce a new dye which the Government claims cannot be removed.

The Chamber has made its position clear to the Government in budget submissions that we would prefer to see a single grade of diesel with a rebate scheme for farmers contractors.

We are still convinced that this is a better option as it eliminates fuel laundering completely and the resultant impact this has on the environment in North Louth and on vehicles. Louth county council  has been forced over the years to clean up afterwards and to protect the water course including rivers.

Now is the time to enter your business in the Louth Business Awards 2022. There are 23 categories of awards this year, giving you a fantastic selection to choose from.
