India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) will be organizing the 31st edition of its annual mega event the India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 14-27 November, 2011 to showcase the achievements of India over a broad sectoral canvas covering all segments of industry, infrastructure and services sectors.
Traditionally, IITF has been a multi-product, multi-sectoral fair providing excellent business opportunities for a wide range of products and services in diverse areas. It is an ideal platform for businessmen from all over the world for exchanging notes, finalizing export and import orders, exploring joint venture and technology transfer opportunities, launching and test marketing of the new products. The range and scale of participation at this fair makes it the biggest multi-product exposition in this Region. The profile of the fair covers apart from textiles, leather products, footwear & travel goods, food, cosmetics, healthcare, physical fitness, consumer electronics, kitchen appliances, home décor, stationery, kids items, India’s achievements in IT & telecommunications, processed foods, agricultural products, infrastructure and services, environment, health, tourism and SMEs and other sectors of trade and industry.
The fair presents an ideal forum to project the growth and progress achieved by Indian economy across diverse sectors and in the process promoting commercial interactions over a wide scale. IITF-2010 attracted participation of over 6500 exhibitors from India and abroad besides, 30,000 business visitors from India and abroad including 633 delegations from 71 countries visited the fair. The overseas participation was from 23 countries amongst which China, Pakistan, Thailand, Bhutan, Iran, Nepal, Cuba, etc., were some of the countries which had a large presence.
Efforts are being made to reposition and develop the fair with a strong B to B component. Overseas participants will be placed in air conditioned Hall No. 18. This has a good ambience for display of products and services. Major overseas participation usually desire air-conditioned hall. However, a few of them prefer to be in non air-conditioned Hall. For such participants, non air-conditioned Hall No. 6 would be available. Foreign participants can also book space in product specific hall.
