Final Arrangements for Dundalk St. Patrick’s Day

Dundalk St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2016 sponsored by Dundalk Credit Union, Fyffes and Louth County Council will commence at 1pm on Thursday 17th March, the parade will assemble again this year in Carroll Village Car Park from 11am onwards with a road closure in place on the Longwalk Road between the two centres from 11am to 1.30pm.

There is also a road closure in place at the Market Square from 9am to accommodate the Family Fun Area which will incorporate the Market Square and Earl Street to create a safe and friendly family zone. The first aid station and missing child area are going to be positioned beside the Permanent TSB on Clanbrassil Street.

There is plenty of entertainment and events taking place around the town for the St Patrick’s Day weekend starting on Wednesday evening in An Tain Theatre with the St Patrick’s Eve Concert tickets available at the usual outlets but don’t forget to check out the St Patrick’s Day event guide in outlets throughout the town. The parade will be covered by two MC’s on the day one at the Market Square and the other on the VIP stand in Park Street at the old Dunnes Stores to give the spectators a full brief on this year’s parade entries.

If there are any queries about the parade you can contact the committee on 0429336343 or by email to certs@dundalk.ie.
