Dundalk Welcomes All Stars launch the 2013 Santa Run World Record Attempt!

Market Square, Dundalk entered the Christmas mood on the 11th September when Louth’s most famous sporting heroes Rob and David Kearney, along with a host of local sporting stars launched the Dundalk Christmas Charity Fun Run which takes place on Friday the 29th November at 6.30pm.
Dundalk Chambers organising committee hope to break the Guinness World Record for the most Santa’s running a mile.

The square was decorated beautifully and with Christmas music in the background and refreshments in Panama Coffee attendees really got in to the Christmas spirit.
Speaking at the launch Rob Kearney said he was delighted to take part in this historic event and be part of a fantastic initiative to support local charities and have great fun at the same time.

The target is to get 4,000 adults and children dressed as Santa’s and take part in the Santa Fun Run on Friday 29th November 2013 at 6.30pm.
