Dundalk Chamber Welcome The Ethiopian Embassy

Dundalk Chamber hosted another very successful Embassy visit when The Ethiopian Embassy came to Dundalk to meet local companies in order to forge business links.

Mr Tsehaye Gebrekidan, Minister Counsellor, Business & Economy, Embassy of Ethiopia visited Dundalk for a series of one-to-one meetings with various companies from around the North-East. This is just one in a series of many visits which Dundalk Chamber has organized. The meetings took place in Oriel Shared Services in the Finabair Business Park.

The Minister expressed the hope that he could identify a town that Dundalk could twin with. He was particularly interested in doing business with technology transfer in agriculture and energy. The largest hydro dam in Africa is currently under construction. This will result in Ethiopia exporting electricity to its neighbours.

Tourism whether to historical sites or on safari is also a growing industry

This is just another example of the Chamber creating new links for local companies. Due to the success of the meetings, Dundalk Chamber will play host to more Embassies including The Turkish and Canadian Embassies are soon to visit also.

If your company would like to attend one of these free meetings please call Kathleen in Dundalk Chamber on 042 9336343 or email admin@dundalk.ie
