Community Employment Vacancy


Simon Women’s Aid project currently have a CE vacancy based at Dundalk Chamber of Commerce in Partnership Court.

The position is part time (19.5 hours per week) and will involve a mix of administrative work and promotion of Chamber services and events locally. Good communication skills and phone manner is important and successful candidate would be working as part of an established team.

The post offers a great opportunity for eligible candidates to re-enter the workforce in a dynamic business environment. There is funded training available up to major award level which means that you can gain a significant qualification while on the scheme and be able to put that learning into practice in a busy office setting.

Many previous participants have progressed on to more permanent administrative work locally after their placement and the opportunity is ideal for someone looking to gain more practical work experience while at the same time adding to their academic qualifications.

The position is for one year initially with the option of a three year placement depending on performance and training undertaken.

Applicants must be CE eligible (In receipt of a Dept of Social Protection payment for the last 12 months).
