The OPW wish to advise that there will be a period of very high astronomical Spring Tides approaching Highest Astronomical Tide (HAT) in all coastal areas, commencing Tuesday 7th until Wednesday 8th December 2021.
Storm surge levels are predicted to significantly increase in the following coastal areas from Tuesday morning 7th December as follows ( Note: > symbol denotes greater than):

0.40m at Drogheda
0.35m at Dublin Bay
0.20m at Wicklow Bay
0.35m at Arklow Bay
0.45m at Wexford Bay
0.45m at Suir Estuary / Waterford
0.35m at Cork Harbour
0.40m at Bantry Bay
0.60m at Dingle Bay
>1.00m at Shannon Estuary
>1.05m at Galway Bay
0.95m at Roundstone
0.90m at Clew Bay
0.70m at Killala
0.75m at Sligo
0.75m at Donegal
0.65m at Lough Swilly
It is too soon to accurately forecast the storm surge conditions that will occur thereafter (from Wednesday 8th December) and you are therefore advised to monitor very closely storm surge and sea level forecasts ahead of and throughout this notice period.
