The Night Time Economy Support Scheme

A new Night-Time Economy Support Scheme (NTESS) has been launched and applications are being invited from eligible businesses. The scheme provides funding of €2.6m to pubs, nightclubs, cafés and other suitable licensed/unlicensed premises to support the provision of entertainment during off-peak times. A maximum allowable grant of €10,000 will be available per application.

The “Evening and Night Time Economy” (ENTE) refers to the diverse social, cultural and economic activity occurring during evening and night-time hours.

Catherine Martin T.D., Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media established the Night-Time Economy Taskforce on 30 July 2020 as one of the priority actions for the Department and on foot of a commitment in the Programme for Government.
