Dundalk Golf Club was the setting for this years Chamber Golf Classic. A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by all Chamber Golf Classic which is one of the longest established and popular golf classics in the North East region. This very prestigious annual event, sponsored by Servisource Recruitment was held on Friday 1st September at the Dundalk Golf Club, Blackrock. Year on year the success of this event has drawn many teams back to enjoy the warm atmosphere and hospitality experienced on the day.
The Dundalk Golf course as usual was in magnificent condition and is unquestionably one of Ireland’s premium parkland layouts. The traditional delicious bar-b-que was enjoyed by team members at the 9th hole was sponsored by McArdle Meats and also offered an opportunity to meet other team players for a chat before completing the course. An evening of entertainment followed with dinner, prize presentation and a raffle in the Club House.
It was a fantastic competition and the results were as follows:
- First prize with 95 Points was won by Darver Meats and the players were David Clarke, Andrew Clarke, Brendan Dempsey and Tony Clarke.
- Second Prize was won by Allergan with 95 points. Players were Donnan Hurst, David Kelly, David Brennan and Patrick Burgh.
- Third Prize was won by Pacsort on 93 points. Players were Stephen Lynch, Conor Marron, David Lynch and Robert Lynch.
- Fourth Prize was won by Chamber Team with 92 points points. Players were Barry Cunningham, Colm O Hanrahan, Martin Patterson and Jim McCorry.
- Fifth Prize was won by Manor Farm with 91 points. Team consisted of Gene McEnroe, James Corrigan, Brendan Casey and Donal Guickan.
- Nearest the Pin Men was won by Martin McCartney.
- Nearest the Pin Ladies was won by Mary Carty.
- Longest Drive Gents was won by Des Rogers.
- Longest Drive Ladies was won by Deirdre Smith.
- Non GUI Prize was won by Partnership Action team.
The fantastic raffle which followed included a variety of prizes including 2 tickets Miss Saigon in the Bord Gais Theatre sponsored by Servisource Recruitment were won by Peter Kenny and a beautiful Michael Kors Handbag donated by Miro Shoes was won by Brian McDonald.Tim Mullins won the €50 Shop Local Gift Vouchers donated by PayPal.
