The Department in association with EURES Cross Border Partnership are hosting a free Jobs Fair for local and national employers in the Crowne Plaza, Dundalk on the 15th May 2018 from 2pm – 7pm.
The focus of the event is to promote employment opportunities on both sides of the border for Jobseekers, Job changers (people who are employed and wish to change jobs), Job re-locaters (entice back to the region those who commute from the area for employment) and also Graduates/school leavers. This is an excellent opportunity for potential recruits to meet with over 50 employers who have current or upcoming job vacancies.
Employers such as An Garda Síochána, Public Jobs & Careers, PayPal, Almac, First Derivatives Plc and many more. A full scale of job opportunities will be available from construction to finance.
An enterprise section will be set up and available to people wishing to start or grow their own business. It is anticipated that there will be business planning information, and information/advice regarding funding available to attendees in this area.
It is also intended to offer attendees an opportunity to attend a CV one to one clinic provided by HR consultants throughout the day along with access to a Jobs Wall advertising a full range of jobs and positions in the County, the division, cross border and throughout Europe.
The event will also host a number of short seminars on topics such as motivation, life skills and assisting attendees to source and secure employment.
