Eures IE/NI Cross Border Speed Networking Event

Yanky Fachler Speaker, Dympna Boyle Eures Cross Border Coordinator, Michael Gaynor President Dundalk Chamber and Anne Keeley Dept of Social Protection

Over 5O agencies and employers attended a Eures IE/NI Cross Border Speed Networking Event in the fabulous Bellingham Castle on Wednesday 30th September.

Support Agencies catering for the needs of employers and businesses located within the Newry Dundalk region were in attendance and it provided an ideal opportunity for local employers and businesses to speak to relevant Support Agencies in one morning, on a one-to-one basis, under one roof!

Dundalk Chamber is part of a European Commission network called EURES (European Employment Services). EURES advisers are trained specialists who provide information and guidance to jobseekers and employers interested in the European labour market and Cross Border Working.

Michael Gaynor President of Dundalk Chamber was delighted that the Chamber along with Eures IE/NI Cross Border Partnership organized this event. “There is an array of support programmes currently offered to local employers and businesses; however, there is some confusion within the business community about where to look for this support and exactly what they can avail of. The aim of this event was to provide a forum where employers and businesses can find out all they need to know about the support they can and should avail of”.
