Event Details

Up to the time of his death in 2001, Eamon Kelly was a household name in Ireland, largely through the media of TV and Radio, as a Seanachi or ‘old Irish story-teller’. He regaled the nation with all kinds of stories drawn from recollections of his Kerry childhood and from rural life in general, and as he would say, ‘in my father’s time’. Actor Jack Healy gives a selection of these stories new life in this one man show, placing the work in the context of Kelly’s other persona, that of a carpenter and woodwork teacher.
