Louth International Film Festival (LIFF) returns from September 29th to October 1st, 2023. Organisers of the Louth International Film Festival (LIFF) say they are thrilled to announce the appointment of the internationally renowned Irish film and television director, Dearbhla Walsh, as a festival patron. Dearbhla distinguished career includes critically acclaimed works such as ‘The Handmaid’s Tale,’ ‘Fargo,’ ‘Traitors,’ ‘Shameless,’ and the multi-award-winning black comedy ‘Bad Sisters.’ She will attend the festival on October 1 to present the prestigious Dearbhla Walsh Award for Best Director.

Other awards at the festival include Best Short Fiction, Best Short Documentary, Seamus McGarvey Award for Best Cinematography, Best Student Film, Audience Choice, Best in Louth, Best Feature Documentary, Best Feature Fiction, Best Actor (gender-neutral), Best International Short, and Best International Feature.
