Enjoy a night of ceol agus craic with fiddler Gerry O’ Connor and singer/flute player Nuala Kennedy at their ‘End of Year’ Traditional Music Concert. Featuring a host of friends and musical accomplices, and focusing on our rich local repertoire, this is a great night out for lovers of superlative Irish music!
Gerry is no stranger to the town hall, hailing from Dundalk itself and is the product of four generations of fiddle players. He has worked as a soloist and as a band member of Lá Lugh and Skylark is well known throughout the world as one of Ireland’s leading fiddlers. Gerry currently tours with the Canadian Irish legends The Irish Rovers and is a founder of the band Oirialla (playing music of the local area) alongside Nuala Kennedy and accordionist Martin Quinn.
Dundalk native Nuala Kennedy is a traditional singer and flute player of world renown who has four solo records to her credit. Known for her engaging live performances she has played at festivals and concerts around the globe with her own band and as a member of several international touring ensembles.
