Event Details

Ireland’s premier contemporary a cappella ensemble and An Táin Arts Centre’s vocal ensemble in residence bring their America Nova programme to Dundalk. Featuring music that has been influenced by, or has directly influenced, American culture over the past century. This beautiful concert features the debut solo performance of the Ardú Apprentices – seven of the most talented ensemble students from Dundalk Institute of Technology – who have been working with Ardú throughout the year.

Accompanied on piano by Brian Connor of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Ulster Orchestra, the wide-ranging repertoire includes well known music by the likes of Billy Joel, Ben E King and Jeff Buckley, all arranged for Ardú’s unique sound.

This very special concert also features the world premiere performance of Homeward Bound, a commissioned piece by English composer and arranger Ollie Lambert.
